Description of treatment

Laser hair removal is a series of treatments aimed at permanent hair removal . This safe and non-invasive method allows to remove hair from all parts of the body. The desired effect is achieved without skin irritation of even the most sensitive areas such as the bikini region, armpits or the upper lip.

The process of hair removal is made by exposure to a laser beam which penetrates deeply the skin destroying hair follicles and their roots. During the procedure light energy produced by the laser changes into concentrated heat. It is then absorbed by hair pigment (melanin) destroying ireparably stem cells responsible for hair growth. This process destroys the structure of a hair follicle containing melanin without damage made to the neighboring cells, which minimizes the risk of side effects.

For about two weeks after the treatment, hairs fall out with follicles. Laser hair removal is permanent, safe and non-invasive. It is an ideal method to obtain smooth skin and forget about the necessity of traditional depilation methods.

The treatment is performed in series. The average number of treatments is 6-8, whereas the minimum – 4-5. The effects, duration and the number of treatments indispensable to remove hair from a given area is strictly connected with the size of the depilated region, color, type of hair and skin of the Patient (phototype), hormones, sex and Patient’s individual reaction to the laser.

*In order to achieve optimal effects it is recommended to undergo a series of treatments. The number of subsequent treatments should be estimated on the basis of recommendations and already achieved effects, with 4-8 week-long intervals between the treatments.

*During the first treatment, individually optimized laser parameters are set to achieve the best results.

*The sensations occurring during the treatment depend on the Patient’s individual pain threshold and skin sensitivity. The laser we use is equipped with technologically advanced cooling tips assuring cooling effects.

* Laser hair removal is permanent, however as soon as the series of procedures are finished, it is recommended to repeat the treatment once a year to sustain the effects of the treatments. A small percentage of hairs which remain after the series of laser treatments are fairer, more delicate hair hence less visible and grow much slower
